Sailing

Sailing is a games option for Fifth Form and above in the Summer Term.

Sailing at Strathallan is an option for the Summer term, and attracts a good level of interest from pupils from beginners to experts.

We sail from Port Edgar, just below the south side of the Forth Road Bridge, instruction, boats and safety cover being provided by Edinburgh Leisure at a reasonable charge.

Over the past few years many pupils have achieved high levels in the RYA accreditation schemes and almost all have something on paper to show for their efforts. Sailing is also about having fun, and on Saturdays we forgo instruction to take out a range of interesting boats and go as fast as conditions allow…
