Boarding Houses
Each pupil at Strathallan is a member of a House. It is particularly through the House system that pupils learn about the community and take responsibility. Everyone has a part to play in the life of the House and there are many opportunities to represent the house in Drama, Music, Sport, Debating and other activities. Prefects are involved in the organisation of day to day life in the care of all members of the House. The resident Housemaster/Housemistress, and a team of tutors, ensure that all pupils receive appropriate support and guidance in all aspects of their School life.
Strathallan has 4 boys' Houses and 3 girls’ Houses and each pupil has a single study bedroom from Fourth Form (girls from Third Form). The accommodation is of a high standard and pupils decorate their rooms with posters and photographs making them very homely. There are common rooms and kitchen facilities in the Houses. Pupils have their main meals in the centrally located dining hall, which has undergone a £1m upgrade.
