End of Term - 12/08

The end of term Christmas Party was once again held at Jimmy Chungs Chinese Buffet in Dundee on Monday 15th December. This is a sure popular restaurant with this being our 3rd visit in the past 3 years. At 6pm we all pilled onto a double-decker bus that took us to the infamous Jimmy Chungs. The boys did not waste much time in getting stuck in and within a short space of time were ready for a ‘break’. By 8.30pm we were back en route to Strathallan with James Scott leading the singing on the top deck.

Back at House the boys got ready for Ruthven Olympics, competing in teams in various sports in the coming hour or so. Team themes included surfers, girls, nerds, the mafia, Christmas and the Romans to name but a few. The Olympics included table Football, table tennis, a Pub Quiz, Scattergaries and Pool. The Boys enjoyed the evening, as arranged by the Prefects, and proved top be very enjoyable.

At the end of term we said good bye to James Scott who had been with us throughout the term from Canberra Boys Grammar School. We thank him for his contribution to the House and 1st XV and wish him all the best for the year ahead.

With the winter months setting in the boys were treated to a Pizza Buffet and Chocolate Fountain evening on Saturday 22nd November.  The boys spent little time enjoying the pizza - and then it was over to the Chocolate Fountain - with of course the healthy fruit for dipping!  The girls eventually got wind of this and enjoyed the evening as well.

Sunday was spent in the snow enjoyed by all, before the Third and Fourth Form did some studying for their forthcoming exams.
