Academic

Academic work is central to life at Strathallan. Over 95% of our pupils go on to University or some other form of Higher Education, and our A-level results are among the best in the country.

For a detailed breakdown of exam results, please select Results from the menu on the left. Advice is available to help with course choice, and each of the academic departments is described.

Strathallan has a full-time Careers Advisor, who can help pupils choose the most appropriate subjects, discuss the university application (UCAS) system and make career choices to suit their personal strengths and interests.

Strathallan Introduces Younger Year Group

From September 2007 Strathallan School is introducing a younger age group to its Junior House, Riley. The new group will cater for pupils equivalent to Primary 5 (normally those who would be 10 during the course of the academnic year under our system). There has been significant demand for places at this stage and the Governors have taken the decision to respond to this demand.

Riley House is under the care of Peter Bush who was previously Headmaster at the Banda School in Kenya, a large independent preparatory school catering for pupils form nursery to the age of 13. The curriculum for pupils in the new year group will feature teaching from a primary specialist in the core subjects such as Art, Design & Technology, Music, French and Science, which are also taught by specialist teachers in the dedicated facilities available at Strathallan. We look forward to welcoming the new younger pupils to the School this September.
