Simpson House held its reunion in early March 2011.  The last in the series of House reunions saw Strathallians representing a wide range of years (1946 - 2000) .  Memories were exchanged and Thomas Baxter delighted all by wearing his 1st XV cap from 1946.  Head of House, James McAllister and Captain of School Ben Melville then took the group on a tour of the School - stopping off at Glenbrae for an unscheduled visit to admire the view fro the top floor other new girls' Boarding House.

The flags were flying in London on the night of the Strathallian London Dinner - sadly not for us, but for the Royal Wedding the next day!

The Caledonian Club was the traditional setting for a wonderful evening, where meeting up with old friends was the order of the day.  Welcome drinks in the library were followed by a delicious meal where the Headmaster welcomed everyone and gave a flavour of the breadth of success the School is achieving.

The chance to get together with friends not seen for some time made it an evening to be enjoyed and remembered.

Grace Hoare, wife of the late Wilf Hoare, passed away in December 2009.

Eric Bradford Fairlie (48 - Ruthven), passed away in December 2009.

John Gray (52 - Freeland), passed away in November 2009.  Former Chairman of HSBC.

Prof John Sinclair ( 54 - Ruthven), passed away in November 2009.  Former Strathallian Club President.

Andrew Nelson-Cole (63 - Nicol), passed away March 2009.

Patrick Lee (80 - Simpson), passed away in May 2009.

Ewen MacCrimmon (42 - Nicol), passed away in June 2009.

Dr John Buchan Ross (30 - Freeland), passed away in January 2009.

Iain H Fraser (42 ), passed away in November 2008.

Stuart Rock Roselle (60 - Ruthven), passed away in November 2008 after losing a battle with cancer.

Ian Turnbull (50 - Nicol), passed away December 2008.

A memorial service is to be held for Alastair in the Chapel at Strathallan on Saturday 22nd October at 11am, followed by refreshments at Riley House.
