Small Bore rifle target shooting in Great Britain has a long history dating back to the 1800’s. Great Britain and the individual home countries have produced numerous World and Olympic champions over the years with the most recent being Scotland winning Gold medals at the last Commonwealth Games.

The Strathallan small bore shooting section has been up and running within the school now for the past 18 months. In this time all the boys and girls who have attended have progressed from complete beginners to the stage where we have the nucleus of a strong section with some of the teams winning competitions and progressing to the stage now where within the British Schools Association the name of Strathallan School is being recognised as an up and coming force especially at the under 14 age level.
