SHIVER ME TIMBERS! RILEY BRINGS THE HOUSE DOWN WITH "PIRATES OF THE CURRY BEAN"
No,you didn't read it wrong, Pirates of the Curry Bean really do exist, and are a world apart from the well known movie you might confuse them with. They came to life in a spectacular way this term, thanks to Riley House. Pupils from Strathallan's junior house put on an incredible performance of the musical as they waved goodbye to the summer term, and said hello to new friends, a new term, and for some of them, a new chapter of life in the school.
Redbeard Robert and his pirates set the tone for an afternoon of fun, frolics and adventure on the high seas, with narrator Katherine holding the ship together. Ayoninu made the perfect Pearl Periwinkle, keeping the men in shape, while Oliver played the not so articulate admiral in the most articulate, hilarious way.
Chuckles were keenly felt meanwhile when the Health and Safety Crew arrived..they always seemed to be on hand when one least expected it! Well done Chloe and Laura!
A fabulous day's entertainment all round - Captain Cod, Fiddlesticks, and everyone else involved - congratulations on a terrific performance.
