Accounts Manager

Salary £22-24k pa

Strathallan is a leading independent co-educational boarding and day school for pupils aged 9 to 18. We are seeking an Accounts Manager to assist our Finance Manager in the successful management, operation and production of Strathallan School Accounts.

The position is a full time, permanent, year round post. The current post holder’s last day is 27 October 2017 and we anticipate the successful candidate being available for 2 October 2017 in order to provide a comprehensive handover.

Estates Operative

We are seeking a Janitor/estates hand to join our Estates Team. Flexibility and a ‘can-do attitude’ are key to the post. A D1 driver’s licence and knowledge of swimming pool regulations would be an advantage.

Lets & Events Assistant (Temporary - Spring & Summer Holidays)

Out with term time, Strathallan lets school accommodation and facilities to a variety of high profile organisations. Events range from orchestral courses and sports training camps to conferences and summer schools as well as non-residential facilities hire for many local and national bodies. We pride ourselves on the level of service we offer our clients and are looking to recruit an additional member of our Lets & Events team who has a similar focus.

We are currently looking for candidates who have experience in events or hospitality or are working towards a qualification in a similar discipline, to work with the Lets & Events Manager on a temporary basis in the run up to and during the spring and summer breaks. You will be involved with operations relating to all events taking place during the holidays (mid-March to mid-April and end June – mid August) and duties include:

- liaising with clients and their delegates as well as with colleagues in the estates, domestic services and catering departments to ensure events run smoothly;

- liaising with resident academic staff and housemasters;

- monitoring use of facilities and reporting any damages;

- allocating and supervising use of school facilities, ensuring all equipment is in place;

- assisting with issue of swipe cards and keys;

- supervising dining hall at meal times.

The role requires you to have an eye for detail and you should be keen to deliver exemplary customer service in a fast-paced environment. Ability to respond well to challenges and adaptability are also important and having your own transport is an advantage. The successful candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) Scheme prior to the commencement of employment.

Due to the nature of the work, shift patterns will vary but you will work five days from seven and there may be split shifts with hours likely to be between 25 and 35 per week. There will also be some early morning and evening work involved as you will be one of the first points of contact for our clients. Rate of pay will depend on suitability and experience and will meet or exceed NMW rates. Live-in accommodation may be available.
