Strathallan Swimming Coach, Elaine Johnston, said:

It’s great to see the swimming programme at Strathallan continue to produce success. We’ve got a really strong young squad at the moment and I’m looking forward to helping them develop as athletes and achieve their goals.

There is a long and successful history of swimming at Strathallan School. Coach Elaine Johnston has helped many successful swimmers to combine their training with their school life including Commonwealth and European medallist Duncan Scott and the most decorated Commonwealth Youth Games GB representative Scott Mclay.

Elaine was recently awarded a Sportscotland Coaching Chain Award along with Andrew Buchanan, Monica Borland and Steven Tigg, recognising her work in coaching Duncan Scott during his time at Strathallan.

The school’s swimming pool is in regular use with pupils from age 9 upwards taking regular lessons and training sessions. In addition to this Strathallan make their swimming pool available to Forgandenny Primary School for their school swimming lessons.
