Strathallan hosts sell out competition

Over two hundred riders gathered for Strathallan School’s Individual and Team show jumping competition at Highfield Equestrian Centre, Howe of Fife on Sunday 18th November for a 10 hour competition which saw Strathallan coming away with several key prizes.

This event is now a firm fixture in the equestrian calendar and attracted young riders from more than 10 schools as well as local Pony Club teams.

The course provided some challenges for the young riders with strong individual performances from Blake H, Brook W, Flora W and Maia F.

Julie Summersgill, Head of Equestrian at Strathallan School commented:

We were delighted with the level of interest in the event and actually had to close entries early due to the demand. These types of events are a great opportunity for the young riders to demonstrate their talent and have fun, whilst also developing their skills and confidence. I’d like to thank the staff at Highfield Equestrian Centre and the parents and pupils from Strathallan for making the day such a success.

Strathallan School picked up 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the Class 3 (85cm) team event with Kinross High School securing 1st place in Class 4 (1m) with Strathallan in 2nd, 4th and 6th and Kilgraston taking 3rd.
