Jenny W awarded Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship

Congratulations to Jenny W who has been awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship for Music at Durham University.

Jenny aims to study music at Durham commencing September 2019 and is looking forward to joining a wide variety of ensembles.

Here is the wording from Durham University:

“Thank you for your interest in Durham University and for your exceptional application for a Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship for Music. I am delighted to offer you one of the University’s highly prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships for Music.”

Jenny had to audition with an application form, a reference and play two contrasting pieces which she chose to do on trumpet. Jenny is also an accomplished piano player and Grade 8 in both voice and trumpet. I think this award gives Jenny some well-deserved recognition. She has selected Durham as her first choice to study Music.
