Strathallan charity sleep out

On Easter Saturday, the Headmaster and staff joined around 60 sixth form pupils in a sponsored sleep out at the School to raise money for Churches Action for The Homeless (CATH).

CATH is a charity which supports, encourages and promotes the development and delivery of projects to relieve homelessness and poor housing, improve the conditions of life and generally aid the development of persons who are homeless in the Perth and Kinross area.

The pupils and staff were joined by members of CATH and a choir from Kith ‘N ‘Kin, who are a support service for kinship carers and the children they are for. They came and performed at the start of the evening.

Everyone was up chatting having fun, trying to stay warm and get some sleep until about 5am. They then started to make their way down to the down for the dawn Easter Sunday service, taken by the School Chaplin.

The total raised so far around £3,000 and is still increasing.
