Fergus D speak about his inviation to be a net Cricket bowler for Scotland. Fergus has been selected to play for Scotland U17’s on their upcoming tour to England in August.

“I had an invitation to be a net bowler for the Scotland, Sri lanka and Afghanistan international men’s cricket team. Which was held at grange cricket club, this opportunity was something I would cherish and remember for the rest of my cricket career, with the realisation that I am bowling to the world’s best batsmen. Including, my cricketing idols and the vast majority which I have watched play on television. Examples such as Mohamed Shazad, Angelo Mathews and Kyle Coezter
However, I took my chance to show my skill set to the coaches and players, I performed to my best ability and this showed, claiming scalps of the best batsmen in the game, I was even commending by the players and coaches. Consequently this filled me with great joy and gave me more desire to become a professional cricket player.
In addition I was delighted on how welcoming the Scottish cricket team were, they invited me into the changing rooms and gave me spot where I could sit and be a part of the team. Moreover the whole experience was extremely valuable as I saw the standard you need to meet to become the best. From the intensity of training to the tactical awareness of each player.”
