Boys’ education is wonderfully complicated. In Simpson House we endeavour to provide a safe, enjoyable and successful experience for boys who seem to have a flair for finding so many distractions in our ever-changing world (or maybe it’s the distractions that have a knack of finding them!).
Simpson aims to create the right conditions for pupils to develop their intellectual, creative and sporting talents in a managed environment and atmosphere that values effort and is conducive to hard work. We try to develop a sense of responsibility for themselves, for others, and for the environment, while also encouraging leadership qualities.
The emphasis on every boy in the House is to give his best effort so that he is able to reach his potential during his time at Strathallan. It’s important that every pupil feels they have the right to be treated as individuals, that their views and privacy will be respected, and that their talents will be encouraged.
Simpson House has a warm atmosphere and, hopefully, a sense of balance. It provides a relaxed, caring, safe environment which the boys look forward to returning to at the end of each busy day.
Try your hardest at everything. Throw yourself into all areas of School and House life; be busy and involved. You only get out of life what you put in.
Treat all the people (and all property) in the House with respect, as you would wish to be treated yourself.
