Students, staff, families and former pupils from the Perthshire school contributed to the challenge put to them by the school's Head of Support for Learning at Strathallan, Kate Streatfeild-James.
She said, “I’m delighted to see how many scarves our community has knitted. Strathallan has supported CATH before on several occasions so it is great to support this vital local charity with physical donations that could help make a difference next winter.”
Head of Services at CATH, Graham Taylor, said, “Thank you to everyone at Strathallan School for your continued support. Making scarves is an innovative way to support people in our communities. Many of the people we work with struggle to keep warm in the winter and this kind gesture will enable our Outreach team to distribute these vibrant scarves to people who are in need.”
Strathallan students have also been busy knitting for Ninewells Hospital's Neonatal Unit this term, creating over 16 baby hats for premature newborns.
