Strathallan School is delighted to host the Scottish Schools Equestrian Championships on Sunday 15 March 2026, incorporating the prestigious National Schools NSEA Show Jumping and Dressage Qualifiers.
The event will take place at Highfield at Howe Equestrian Centre in Ladybank, Fife, bringing together leading school riders from across Scotland for a day of high-quality competition and the opportunity to secure national qualification.
With a proud equestrian tradition, Strathallan is honoured to provide a professional and supportive platform for Scotland’s most promising young riders.
Show Jumping
The Show Jumping schedule will cater for a wide range of experience levels, with classes from 70cm through to 1.10m. Both team and individual qualification opportunities will be available, with successful combinations progressing to the 28th NSEA National Schools Championships at Addington in October 2026.
Dressage
The Dressage Championships will feature British Dressage tests in 20x40m arenas, spanning Prelim, Novice and Elementary levels. These classes offer riders the opportunity to demonstrate technical precision and partnership as they compete for national qualification.
Team Competition
Team competition promises to be closely contested, with squads of three or four riders, counting the best three scores. The top two teams and top four individuals will qualify for the National Championships.
Across both disciplines, rosettes will be awarded to teams and individuals placed 1st–6th, with championship sashes presented to all winners.

Entries must be made via the NSEA website and close on Monday 9 March 2026 (or earlier if classes reach capacity).
Each class costs £25, including paramedic medical cover. Horse and rider combinations may compete in up to three classes.
