Perthshire pupils picked for Scottish U16 rugby squad

Strathallan pupils Callum Norrie, from St Andrews, and Jonny Morris, from Perth, have been selected to represent Scotland on the Under 16 Blues Squad.

The Scotland U16 programme is a pivotal stage in the development of young players. Selection to the Blues squad will mean they will both receive expert coaching, medical advice, analysis, strength and conditioning and nutritional education.

Andrew Henderson, Director of Rugby at Strathallan, who has worked closely with the pair since they started at Strathallan, says they should be proud of the news.

He said, “Callum and Jonny have worked very hard to get where they are today and they are great example to other students who look up to them and play with them.

“If they rise to the challenges ahead of them, this could be the start of bright futures in the sport.”
