The award is particularly significant this year, with the winner decided for the first time by a vote of Forty Club Scotland members. Strathallan received overwhelming support from members, earning recognition for both its cricketing achievements and the conduct and sportsmanship of its pupils.
The award reflects the breadth of cricket at Strathallan, with opportunities for both boys and girls to develop their skills and compete throughout the season. Alongside the established boys’ cricket programme, this season saw the School take an important step forward with the introduction of a girls’ fixture against the Forty Club.
Brock Ditchmen, Director of Cricket at Strathallan, said: “This is a fantastic recognition of the pupils, staff and everyone who contributes to cricket at Strathallan. We’re incredibly proud of the way our boys and girls approach the game, compete with enthusiasm and represent the School with such pride.
“Cricket is about much more than results. It’s about developing confidence, resilience, teamwork and respect, and that is something we see across our programme. The introduction of a girls’ fixture against the Forty Club this season was another exciting milestone as we continue to create more opportunities for pupils to play and enjoy the game.”
Strathallan will now represent Scotland as the Scottish nominee for the Grierson Trophy, which recognises schools from across the UK.

The recognition marks another positive milestone for cricket at Strathallan, celebrating not only success on the field but the character, sportsmanship and commitment demonstrated by pupils across the programme.
