Top-Flight Football Talent to Lead Coaching at Strathallan

Strathallan School is delighted to welcome former professional footballer Jamie Ness, who will begin delivering high-performance football coaching sessions on campus from August 2025.

With over 200 appearances at the top levels of the game across a 13-year career, Jamie brings a wealth of experience to Strathallan. He began his career with Rangers FC under the legendary Walter Smith, securing a league and cup double in his debut season and earning Goal of the Season for a memorable strike against Celtic.

Jamie went on to play in the English Premier League with Stoke City before making significant contributions at clubs including Scunthorpe United, Plymouth Argyle, and Dundee FC.

Now an SFA-qualified coach, Jamie launched his own coaching academy in 2023. His passion lies in mentoring and developing young players by passing on the knowledge, skills, and mindset gained throughout his career.

From August 2025, Jamie will be offering 1-to-1 and small group football sessions at Strathallan. These sessions are open to Senior pupils of all abilities and will be tailored to individual goals and positions. He will also be supporting the wider football programme at the school over the next academic year.
