Where a world of opportunity awaits
Welcome to our world
At Strathallan we welcome pupils age 9 to 17 from all over the world. Around 20% of our pupils are international from over 20 countries so our community is rich and diverse. And because the majority of our pupils are boarders, there is a busy and active school life seven days a week.
Boys and girls age 9 to 12 will join our Junior House, Riley.
Pupils age 13+ will join the senior part of the School.
Entrance is via school report, online Maths and English assessment and an interview either by Skype or face to face.
We visit a number of countries ever year to meet and interview candidates. You can see the schedule of forthcoming visits here.
We also work with a number of education consultants around the world who can help with your application and visa process if required. If you would like further details of our partners please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
In the first instance you should register your interest by completing our online Registration Form. A fee of £100 is payable to register and this can be paid online.
Once you’ve registered we will request a transcribed school report in English and a reference from your child’s current school.
If, based on their school report, we think we may be able to offer your child a place, we’ll arrange an online Mathematics and English test paper that must be taken either at the offices of the British Council, at your child’s current school, or at the offices of an authorised agent.
Finally, we’ll organise an interview which could either be done face-to-face or online using Skype or a similar facility.
International pupils are welcome to apply for a scholarship. You can find more information about our scholarship assessments and timetable here.
Strathallan has partnerships with a select number of carefully chosen education providers who specialise in helping pupils, for whom English is not their first language, make the most of their time at school. These courses are an excellent way to improve English in an academic and social context and learn more about the British curriculum and way of life. We will advise all international applicants whether we require or recommend a pre-sessional programme as a condition of offer.
For pupils who require a Tier 4 (Child) visa these pre-sessional programmes are included on the same visa and therefore provide a seamless pathway.
Our partners are:

Etherton Education provides academic summer courses for international students aged 10-17. These are designed specifically to be pre-boarding school preparation. Courses last four to eight weeks.
