Huge congratulations to everyone who played sport over the weekend. With wins in Tennis, Rugby, Swimming, and Hockey, it was the perfect way to wrap up before Christmas.
Tennis
U16 County Tour Event
Freya C and Ben C each landed a win at Scotstoun in Glasgow. Jed M was runner-up to Ben.
Thomas D won at St Andrews University. Thomas was unseeded, and beat the 4th, 3rd and 2nd seeds on the way to winning the title.
Mens TS1000 Regional Tour Event
Marcus McLaren was runner-up at Stirling University.
With five pupils competing this weekend, to get 3 wins and 2 seconds places is an incredible set of results from the pupils.
Rugby
A great end to the season, with the 1st XV's 48-0 win Vs Glenalmond, alongside the U16A (45-0), U15A (29-5) and U14A (31-0) teams.
Swimming
Scottish Winter Short Course Meet
Five swimmers represented Strathallan under the banners of Dundee Cit Aquatics and Perth City Swim Club at the RCP, Edinburgh over the weekend, bringing home two National Age Group records and personal best times all round:
Evan D set two Scottish Age 14yrs Records in 400 IM and 200 free, and reached finals in all of his seven events recording very impressive personal best times in every event.
Owen C competed in six events across the weekend, reached the final in four, and recorded substantial personal best times.
Elise C won the Junior final of the 50 Free, and placed well in the open finals of 100, 200 Free, 100 IM and 50 Fly. Elise recorded a 100 % PB record in all events and reached finals in five out of six events.
Euan W and Jess S also competed and recorded excellent times and personal bests in their events.
Hockey
The Girls 1st Team qualified for National Finals this weekend – their first step towards defending their Scottish Hockey title this year.
The Boys U18 also qualified for National Finals.
