The prestigious appointment comes just weeks after Hamish was announced as one of Strathallan's School Captains for the 2026/27 academic year, serving alongside Corinna S.
Hamish joined Strathallan from Ardvreck School in 2022 and quickly joined the School's Royal Marine section. Since then, he has progressed to become Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major, demonstrating exceptional commitment and leadership within the Combined Cadet Force.
As one of just four cadets selected to represent the Lord-Lieutenant throughout the year, Hamish will undertake ceremonial duties and act as an ambassador for the cadet forces across Perth and Kinross.

Speaking after his investiture, Hamish said:
"I'm incredibly proud. It came as a real surprise to be given both of these important roles and I'm looking forward to taking on the responsibility. Being one of only four cadets chosen to represent the Lord-Lieutenant is a real honour, and I'm excited to step up."
A talented British Nordic skier, Hamish balances his sporting commitments and leadership responsibilities alongside his studies. He is currently studying for four A Levels in Maths, Physics, Design & Technology and Further Mathematics.

Whether representing the School on cross country ski trails, leading within our Combined Cadet Force or now serving as a Lord-Lieutenant Cadet, he inspires those around him through his quiet leadership and commitment. We are immensely proud of all he has achieved and have no doubt he will represent both Strathallan and Perth and Kinross with distinction."
