Murdo skis to victory at British Schools Indoor Ski Championship 2023

Strathallan School pupil carves his way to win the U19 Boys British Schools Indoor Ski Championship.

Murdo H, representing Strathallan School, skied to success at the British Schools Indoor Ski Championship 2023 held at Chill Factore in Manchester.

The event was fiercely contested among 200 talented pupils representing 83 schools from across the UK.

Despite being one of the youngest participants in the U19 boys category, Murdo's skills shone through, propelling him to the top spot.

Speaking about his win, Murdo, who is currently training with the Scottish Alpine Ski Team in Norway, said, "It's an incredible feeling to emerge as the champion in my age group. Although I wasn't feeling my best, the support from my family kept me motivated throughout. I’m proud of my results this season.”

Director of Sport at Strathallan School, Jim Thompson, said, “We couldn't be prouder of Murdo’s achievement and the way he has represented Strathallan School. After being crowned U16 team champion in the Alps last year, it’s fantastic to see Murdo continue his success on the dry slopes.”
