A Celebration of Speech, Drama, Piping & Drumming
Our pupils took part in Speech and Drama competitions on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by Piping and Drumming on Friday – and the results were outstanding!
🗣️ Speech and Drama Success
Pupils from across the age groups showcased their talent and passion for performance, with 16 first-place finishes and three major trophies won.
🏆 Trophy Winners
- Alexander W – Year of the Bible Trophy and Honours (85+) for his reading of Psalm 8
- Annabelle M – William Soutar Tassie for her recital of "The Patriarch"
- Darach R – Burns Trophy for an extract from "Tam o’ Shanter"
🎤 Other Standout Performances
- Stella du P, Orla T, and Charlotte W (Years 3–4) – 1st in Prepared Reading, Verse Speaking, and Burns Poetry
- Paige M – 1st in her William Soutar class
- Matthew T – 1st in the 15–17 Burns class
- Francesca W – 1st in Dramatic Solo (15–17)
- Sylvie M and Brooke B – 1st in Dramatic Duologue (11–12)
- David L – 1st in Verse Speaking (Honours)
- Alexander W and Will D – 1st in Prepared Reading (13–14), with Will also achieving Honours
- Sophie du P and Tabitha C – Highest Honours mark in Dramatic Duologue
- Year 6 – 1st in Choral Speaking, a much-loved annual tradition
- Eric M – Runner-up in the 15–17 Burns class, also awarded Honours
