Remembering the fallen

On Wednesday 11th November, Strathallan held a Service of Remembrance for all those who gave their lives so that we may live in peace including the 58 Strathallians who made the ultimate sacrifice

From Strathallan Prep School to Sixth Form, our students and staff stood outside the chapel socially distanced or outside their Houses to pay their respects to the fallen.

Rev Jonny Wylie led the service, with the names of 58 Strathallians who lost their lives during WWI and WWII read aloud by Captains of School, Suzy M and Fergus S.

From the school roof, Reveille and Last Post were performed by Izzy B and Xander G, the Headmaster's Piper, performed Flowers of the Forest.

Headmaster Mark Lauder said, "Despite restrictions and the need for careful planning, this year's Service of Remembrance was still poignant and a moving occasion. I want to thank the entire school for their efforts to help mark an incredibly important day in the school's calendar."
