Boarding pupils

Where friends become family

With around two-thirds of our pupils spending all day, every day with us during term times, Strathallan’s a busy place at any time of the day. We welcome boarders from here in Scotland, the rest of the UK and, of course, from all over the world. No matter where they come from, they’re welcomed into a thriving and supportive community.

A healthy mix of day and boarding pupils

It’s easy to get to build a network of friends in the local area too – our day pupils are in the same school houses as our boarders and they’re all equally involved in school life.

A guiding hand

Naturally, we also recognise that young people need their own space to grow and develop. Our Housemasters take a guiding role in overseeing the wellbeing of everyone in their House but all staff are involved in pastoral care. Our recent, excellent report from the Care Inspectorate  is an endorsement of the high standards we set at Strathallan to make sure our children are well looked-after and happy when they’re in our care.

An extensive choice of extra-curricular and social opportunities

As well as academic studies, we provide a huge range of sports and activities every school day and, at weekends, there’s lots to do with sports, games, free time and a number of optional excursions.
