Strathallan School seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher of Geography to work in a forward-looking and ambitious Department from April 2020 until March 2021. The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom teacher with a proven record of academic success. The post will require teaching middle and senior school pupils from age 9 to 18. The school offers A Levels, SQA Highers and GCSEs.  The role offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and hardworking Geography specialist.  The successful candidate must be keen to participate fully in the pastoral and extra-curricular life of this thriving boarding and day school.

Examinations Officer
(Part-time – 0.8 FTE)

Examinations Officer – Part-time

Strathallan School seeks to appoint an Examinations Officer to run the planning, organisation and delivery of all examinations at the school. This is an administrative post, which will require close and regular contact with academic and pastoral leaders in the school as well as parents and pupils.

The Examinations Officer will be responsible for the Assistant Examinations Officer (a member of the teaching staff) and the external invigilation team. The role will usually involve working 35 hours per week during term time and time in August for the publication of external examination results and any subsequent administrative work that follows.

The school offers A Levels, Highers and GCSEs. This post presents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and well-organised senior administrator to join and contribute to this fast-developing school. Due to the specific requirements of this role, it is essential that candidates have experience of working within an educational environment, preferably within an examinations setting. The role may also suit teaching staff who wish to combine their teaching role with this challenging and dynamic opportunity.

Please note, due to a pressing urgency to fill this position, the successful candidate should ideally be able to start as quickly as possible. The role of Examinations Officer attracts an extremely competitive salary, which will be commensurate with previous experience and qualifications.
